Sitting On the Fence: You Know The Neighborhood is Friendly When...

Friendly neighbors built a wall with seats on the outside for hikers to sit a spell.

REALTORS make good neighbors!  Janice Kaufmann and her husband Mark built a lovely home in our community, Tucson Estates II.  It sits on a corner where the westerly view looks into Tucson Mountain Park.

The wall isn't like any other I've seen.  People in our community love to walk in the morning.  So Janice and Mark built in two seats to give passers-by a place to sit a spell and enjoy the view.  The seats are on the street side, not inside the enclosed yard.  Don't you wish you had neighbors this nice?!

So come and sit a spell, courtesy of the magic of the internet.  Bring a friend! Here's the view from your seats, looking across the street into 40,000 acres of our Tucson Mountain Park:

View of Golden Gate Mountain

Janice Kauffman and her team would be happy to find you a home in Tucson Estates II.

You can find her by clicking right here.  (She doesn't know I'm writing this.  Shhh.  Don't tell.)

Mike you tell such good stories.  I find myself driving around my town looking for stories as if I were looking through your eyes.

Mike, this is so nice of the neighbors to offer a sit and see.  And you must admit this has to be a one of a kind wall.

It is a one-of-a-kind wall.  I've never seen anything like this.

I enjoy telling them because you enjoy reading them!  LOL

See, that's the magic part about the internet; 380 people can "sit" in those seats at the very same time, and it's not at all crowded.  Today is going to be a special day for you.

That's a first. I don't think I have ever heard of or seen anything like this before. :)

Wow Mike you live in a great community. In mine I get to see two homes that would make Fred Sanford jealous, about a dozen dogs ranging from Pekinese to Pit Bulls running free and most will come running at you. Then we have the crazy humans who think the roads are race tracks and might swerve to miss you if their not busy talking on the cell phone.

This gives a whole new meaning to the term "sitting on the fence". It's an awesome view! Thanks for sharing it with those of us who can't stroll over to the Kaufmann's.

That's so neat!  I'm sure we've all longed for a place to sit for a bit when out on a walk.

Gary - What a view!  I also love the way the little wall blends right in with the environment!  I can picture myself sitting there, sipping a little java, and watching the sunrise!

It's a great view, and the builder did a wonderful job on the straw bale wall.

I hadn't noticed that; I'll have to check it out.

You need to start signing your name to your comments so people will know who to call when they call Sky Enterprises!  :)

Good neighbors make the community a better place!

I read your comment, and it makes me want to edit the title.  I think I will!  Thanks.

We're so glad to hear that little Burke is recovering and doing well!  Thank God!

You might want to click that link and call Janice Kauffman, REALTOR!

Me neither!  Thanks for commenting.

What a wonderful thing for Janice and her husband to do!  I've never heard of something like this, but it certainly makes sense if you live in an area that has sights worth sitting and pondering over.

Mike - Sounds like you have some pretty fun neighbors.  I was particularly impressed also by the way those rocks just rolled down the mountain and landed perfectly spaced along the road---amazing!  LOL

That whole fence is unusual.  Our area is on the sub-tropical side so a fence like that is just not something you EVER see.  How neighborly to a make a couple of seats.

Pretty cool, isn't it?!

Volcanic bombs, I think they call them.  :)

I've never enjoyed an area more than where I am now.  (Childhood in the Amazon excluded.)

Wow!  That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen a home owner do for the neighbors.  What great people they must be!
