Every once in a long while, and especially around the end of a day, there comes a magical time when all is quiet and everything seems at peace.
Tonight was such a night here in my little corner of Tucson, Arizona.
My Darlin' calls it "zoning in 'Zona." As the sun drifted down toward the horizon, a gold hue painted the western sky.
That's not what caught my eye, though.
Over in the eastern sky, the reflected light from that same setting sun lit up a bank of clouds, turning them into pink cotton candy against the blue sky.
There is something special about the light here in the desert southwest.
Don't you think so?
