Dining Out in Tucson: Let's All Ride to Tiny's for a Steak!

Let's all stop for a steak at Tiny's!

No, this isn't the back lot of Old Tucson Studios!  It's the parking lot of a steakhouse right next to a McDonalds on a busy highway in Tucson, AZ.

A more modern ride parked outside Tiny's SaloonI like this bike! The parking lot is full of other rides like these two on the right.  Cars, too.  And pickup trucks.

Friends, this is Tucson, Arizona!

Tiny's Saloon sits where it has for decades, at the intersection of Kinney Road and the Ajo Highway.

It's a great place for a brew and a steak, or for a burger and fries.  Don't expect "fancy."  Tiny's isn't about fancy.  It's about a great place to leave your horse at the hitching post for awhile and share good grub with friends.

The back lot of Old Tucson Studios is right down the road a ways.  So is a wonderful little community called Tucson Estates II.  That's where I live.  If you're in the area, call me up.  I'll meet you at Tiny's!

I hope it's dinner time! Lunch time is no time to tie horses in the sun!

Haven't been to Tiny's - is it as good as Chads or Cody's Beef & Bean?

ToulaRosebrock.comHi Mike:

Looks & sounds like a great place to stop!

Tiny's Saloon...it doesn't have to be fancy to be good.

Mike - Tiny's sounds like a really neat place to visit.  One of those hidden treasures that an 'outsider' might pass by due to its rough exterior.  Just goes to show - can't judge a book by its cover.

Now Mike this is what I call going country and enjoying every minute of it.  And it sounds like a great time.

Mike,

I love the shot of the horses with the ATM sign in the background.

Sounds yummy!

Ann,

I just had to include the ATM sign.  LOL

Don,

You bet it is!

Carol,

I do like little "hole in the wall" places.

Toula,

They don't serve Greek salad...  LOL

Mike,

Great write-up. You sure know how to make a place sound inviting. Too bad it's so far away. :)

Mike, I don't know how you manage to actually work with all the great things and places you have in your neck o'the woods.   I love the ATM sign on the gate and the PODs thingy in the back - is that the cash machine?? Do they have gallop up service windows?

Posted by Karen Otto, Plano Home Staging, Dallas Home Staging, www.homes (Home Star Staging) over 10 years ago

Karen,

The ATM is inside Tiny's Saloon, and you're right about the white thing being a POD.  We're horse friendly out here, and in addition to the hitching rail, there's a watering trough for the horses.

I do manage to get some work done in spite of the distractions.  :)

Steve,

That's why they have those shiny aluminum things with wings.  Come on out for a visit!
