It's Never Too Early to Get 'Em Hooked On Networking and Blogging!

Saturday morning a group of us (eight strong) got together at the Java Cafe' and Business Center on Ajo at Palo Verde.  We meet weekly to share successes and to keep each other focused on doing business successfully in this difficult time.  It's amazing how ninety minutes on a Saturday morning can get your mind in gear for the upcoming week and keep you on track.

One of our group brought her little guy Isaac.  You can see that he's going to fit right in!

Isaac's going to be a blogger!

Isaac is turning one this week, and his enthusiasm is an inspiration to me!  Are you this excited about your business?  I AM.

They do start early don't they?  My brokers grandchild came into the office from age 5...pounding away at the keyboard!

Aw, cut photo Mike. I'm amazed that the kids understand technology so quickly, I have to ask for their help over and over. Great that you have a group to get together with!

Mike,

I like the group. It's amassing how much we can help each other with little or no effort! I feel the sane way about AR.

Issac makes me feel good. I use to have a salesman who'd call for computer help and put his 4 year old son on the line. The last time I was at their home I ask the son, now 15 if his father could boot his new computer. He told me Dad never shuts it off.

Bill,

Kids are the best!  Grandkids are even better.  Thanks for commenting.

Debbie,

The group is essential.  Left to ourselves, we tend to wind down and put things off.

Sally,

Thanks for being the first to comment!  See you soon on your blog.

Mike--Looks like Isaac will be selling virtual real estate in no time!

I missed Tucson this year, I'm so bummed!

In today7s tech world we need to get them started early. All of my children run A PC better than I did when I was in my 20,s.

Mike, It's the funniest thing one will see, my youngest when he was 3 yrs was using the computer, but we would have to sit with him so we could read to him what was screen and then he would response or ask us how to spell the words he needed.

He learn how to use the emoticon on yahoo messenger and knew when either of us or his brothers were on the computer.

Mike,

You make a really good point, we should all be excited about our business.  If we aren't then maybe we should be somewhere else.

What a cute little boy! I came to parenthood later than most and still remember how cool it was when thay were that age. It helps to remember during the teenage years...LOL!!

Upon seeing this all that came to mind was ... I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.....   :)

Mike - that is a cute picture, and they do start very early and are not at all intimidated with technology!

Reminds me of those e-trade commercials. Have you seen them? Hilarious. My 3 yr. old granddaughter invited me to a web chat and blew my mind not too long ago.

NCF,

I've been hijacked! LOL

Ronnie,

I have seen the e-trade commercials, and I love them.  Your 3 year old granddaughter has to be some kind of a technophile!

Sharon,

It makes you wonder what's next!

Carol,

He's convinced he can!

Russell,

Teenagers are a breed unto themselves.  It's hard to think that little Isaac will turn into one!

Don,

I know you're excited about your business; thanks for commenting!

Roy,

Your youngster deserves a post of his own!  I'll come read it!

Laura,

They probably know the difference between a comma and an apostrophe, too.  LOL

Susie,

He stole the show at our SOC meeting Saturday morning!

Kris,

We certainly did enjoy him.

Tamara,

Do you usually come down for the Gem Show?

A group of eight sounds like a perfect number to meet on a weekly basis. Not sure I could have concentrated, would only want to play with cute little Isaac.

No doubt about it; he stole the show.  We did get work accomplished, though.  LOL

Hi Mike - That little cutie reminds me of when we gave our youngest the "Freddie the Fish" computer game to stay occupied while we worked for a couple of hours. Lo and behold I hear "Mommy look!" and I look over my shoulder to see the credits running across the monitor. Game conquered, by a three year old! Your group sounds like a wonderful way to stay focused and motivated -I'm going to look in to something like this.

Karen,

Keep me up to date when you form your group; this has been a real boost for all of us.  We have a self-proclaimed "computer geek," a professional photographer, the owner of a T-shirt company on the web, a stay at home Mom (Isaac's,) an outside salesperson for a pharmaceutical firm, a full time Send Out Cards person, and yours truly--the lender.  What we all have in common is the use of Send Out Cards in our businesses.  Please go to www.MikeInTucson.com and try it out for free.  Click the button and send a couple of free cards on me.  (Shh... Don't tell anyone else.)

Hi Mike--Yes, I love the chaos and energy of the gem shows!  The international mix, the rare and unusual!  This is the first time I've missed it in 6 years... But I am definitely planning for next year!

Meeting with a support group to encourage and challenge us is a great thing we should all do. So is mentoring - guiding those "younger" than us & being motivated by their success. It's even better when it's family.

Rick,

That's the truth!  The little guy and his mom weren't there this morning, and we missed them.
