~ Nature will bury our efforts if we stop tending to them ~

I love this photo, and it's one of the very few you'll find on my blog that didn't come from my camera.  I found this on Flickr many years ago, and keep it in front of me because it reminds me that in the end, nature will prevail.

Jim Rohn tells the story of the diligent gardner who was tending his rock garden when a busybody from the church on the corner walked past on a Sunday afternoon.  She stopped and looked at him working away, until he noticed her staring.  "Like my garden?" he asked.  "It's lovely," she replied, "but shouldn't you give the credit to God?  He had it long before you started digging there."  "My, yes," the gardner replied, going back to his work.  "And you should have seen what it looked like when He had it all to Himself..."

My takeaway?  I need to tend to my garden while I still have the chance!

Love the story.  God does give us options and opportunity but we are the ones that do need to make the most of them.

You tend your garden and I'll tend mine.  I'll seek your help and you'll seek mine. Watching your garden instead of watching mine will result in my garden filled with weeds and pests.

Love the photo, looks like the tree is letting us know what he thinks about being used for a sign post, munch, munch...

hmmm, since 'mother nature' is a fictional character, I don't think there is a need to worry about 'her' alleged return.  But, I sure would be getting the house in order for the return of Jesus!
