~ Sandy Morgan, having the time of her life! ~
Success in any endeavor comes when discouragement is pushed aside in favor of moving forward.
All of us get discouraged from time to time. I know I do. Meet someone who has a real excuse, and who never uses it!
Overcoming Cerebral Palsy
Sandy Morgan, more than any individual I've ever met in person, is the embodiment of courage. Sandy was born with cerebral palsy. ...and it doesn't stop her.
Author Sandy Morgan's "I Am" Statement
"I am Viking strong and Virgo tough, and these ol' eyes have seen enough
To know
- I am, from a severe disability, a diamond encrusted in coal, possessor of an incredible mind
- I am a mover and shaker, because of muscles that spasm and jerk, and because I'm an activist
- I am from the lion's den ~ a radical, sit-in-a-governor's-office activist, Rosa Parks in a wheelchair
- I am from a heart of independence ~ an owner of a business"
Sandy's "I am" statement is included in full in the beginning of her first book. You can read more in Sandy's book Dance of Victory, available on Amazon.
Click the photo link to the left and buy the book. It will be the best $12.95 you ever invested in yourself.
This photo of Sandy and me sits on my fly-tying desk in my home office. We all need a diversion, and mine isn't sky-diving. :)
My Takeaway
Whenever I'm tempted to complain about something ~ the Real Estate industry, Real Estate values, my loan pipeline, or a particularly difficult client or anxious agent ~ I look at Sandy smiling at the camera, and get an attitude adjustment!
Thanks, Sandy!

Wow, Mike, nothing like a Sandy to put things in perspective for you!
Mike
Sandy Morgan sounds like a very strong lady.
Good luck and success.

Mike - it's nice to have someone around to remind us to stop whining and get to work. I know that I don't have a tough life, and I also know that I don't usually bring my "A" game with me as often as I should. A little more focus and intensity would help us all.
Hey Mike,
Thanks, sounds like the kind of attitude adjusment to me!
GOOD MORNING MIKE! Wow! Having worked at the MS Society for years - I learned about attitude adjustment my first year there and never forgot! Here's to Sandy - she is certainly someone to admire!
Good morning, Gab,
She certainly is!
Lynda,
I need those from time to time.
Larry,
That's just what I'm going to do this morning!
Lou,
That she is! Thanks for commenting.
Connie,
Amen to that! Have a great day.

Great story Mike, makes our problems pale in comparison to others. Kudos to Sandy for taking action and not just feeling sorry for herself.
Mike, When I called you today...it was right before my settlement started. Bridget McGee came in as I was talking to you. So I just had to explain how we were connected. Out came my iPad so I could share this blog right at the closing table.
Sandy is an amazing woman and you are an amazing friend.
Margaret
She is a true inspiration. Reminding us that complaining and being negative will not do us good. Look at her, her smile, i can see her joy from the heart. Say my hi to her Mike, and tell her how amazing she is.
Hi Mike--what a great story. Sandy is one incredible human being. Why is it that people with the most "difficulties" are alwyas the ones that show us how to live?
Great story, Mike. Thanks for the post. Sadly, I am a cheapskate, so I didn't buy the $12.95 book on Amazon.
But I am smart. Bought the Kindle version for $9.99. Gotta' love the Kindle!
Mike, thanks for letting us know about Sandy. Will be ordering the book and also spreading the word.
Gabe,
You're welcome! You'll love the book.
Steph,
Sandy's strength of spirit is an inspiration!
Jon,
Thanks for buying the book for your Kindle reader; you won't be disappointed!
Janet,
Yes, she is! Maybe the reason has to do with perseverance.
Rob,
Friend her on Facebook and say Hi yourself! You'll make a friend.
Margaret,
Thank you for calling; it's wonderful to think of you sitting at closing with your IPad, sharing Sandy Morgan's story.
Charles,
Don't stop here; read the book!

A lot to learn form your friend Sandy. . we also learn a lot about you. .
We can learn the most from people just like Sandy!
There is a group of young men from my high school helping a young man named Darius tackle MS. His story is pretty incredible as well. I attached the trailor to the movie they produced.
I love stories of people like Sandy & Darius!
Mike: Thanks! We all should be awed and inspired by people with great and can-do attitudes. Thanks for sharing!
Mike, what a great story! We can all learn from Sandy's "I am" Statement. Thanks.
What an amazing lady. There'ss much we can all learn from her story.
I love this, thank you for sharing her story with all of us. Its true, when I start to complain I try to take a step back and think about whether the issues is really that big of a deal, something worth all the negative power and energy I'm giving it. Sometimes it helps me put things in perspective. Thanks again
This is indeed a great story and thank you for sharing it Mike. People need to stop giving excuses because impossible is really nothing. Anyone can achieve anything if they just put in the effort.
Thanks for sharing the post with us today. I love the message it sends. More power to Sandy she's a shinning star for sure.

Wow Mike
Pretty inspiring. It's funny that almost always when we feel that we are the only one with life's issues, that we come across something or someone that make our situation look so small and insignificant.
Thanks for the post.
Mike - thank you for sharing that story with all of us! It is amazing, what some people can overcome!

A pretty amazing guy has pretty amazing friends.......that just figures. I remember a nun once saying 'birds of a feather flock together'.........there is truth in that. (Yes, I was in Catholic school for 3 years.....I hated it)
