Roadside Americana: Rooster Envy Folk Art

Where is this chicken located? Mike in Tucson, AZ mortgage lender

~ Big Texas Rooster ~

This Texas Rooster is about ten feet tall!  Can anyone identify where in Texas you might run across him?  Better yet, do you have a photo of him that you can post in your comment?

HI Mike!
I am not from Texas, so don't have a clue.  However, it looks like it is in front of a construction company.  Either way, I love the rooster!

He is really cute, Mike. Do you think he's a guard rooster?

I think your wife would like one for the front yard.  (Shh...  don't tell; make it a surprise.)

I think he might be a Guard Rooster.  Either that, or he's a Marine...

Thanks for being the first to comment.  I'll give you a hint.  It's along Interstate 20 between I-10 and Fort Worth.

They have that same Rooster in Kentucky down a dirt road in front of an old country store. Cousins?

Mike, Here's a distant relative here in Delaware County.  Don't know where your guy is.  Are they birds in a cage with lights at the top?  Must be a fun place in the middle of nowhere! --Gloria

That's quite a chicken!  I do not have a clue where he's located but wherever it is, he has a commanding presence.

Doug and Gloria,

Thanks for the cousin's photo!

Look for him near Sweetwater, TX in a little town called Roscoe.

Do you have a photo?

No one so far...

Think I can get him on top of the Element?
