FSBO With Concrete Deer In The Front Yard. Oh Wait! It's Real!

FSBO with deer in the front yard: Mike in Tucson, AZ mortgage lender

~ FSBO With Deer (Oh Look!  It's real!) ~

Two houses down from us, the folks have their house for sale.  As my Darlin' and I pulled out of the garage onto the street this evening around 5:30, we were startled to see Momma Mule Deer standing in their front yard.  I turned cattywampus in the street and rolled down the window to take some pictures.  (We don't have much traffic in our foothills community, Tucson Estates II. Nobody cared that I was sideways in the street.)

Momma's twins were in the side yard, munching away on the yellow fruit of my neighbor's prize cactus!

Do you think these guys are there to keep the landscaping neat and tidy?

I guess so!  They're well fed, aren't they?

Awesome!  They do blend right in, don't they?  Glad you had your camera handy . . .

The deer look real.

It's the cacti that are fake.

Mike,  Looking at that first photo, the thought crossed my mind -does Momma Mule Deer have an appointment?

Great photos.

No grass to eat, guess they gotta eat the cactus flowers!

Ahh, mule deer. I see that they are like their cousins in the east, they like to maraud the patio pantry...

Isn't it wonderful to be out and about and suddenly a wonderful photo opportunity presents??   I keep a camera on the front seat of my vehicle at all times.  Of course, I miss some photo ops because of traffic or other limitations of geography (no place to pull over), etc. but I get many great scenes to save for future use.

Fabulous shots.

Great shots!   We don't have as many deer here, because of the thinning done several years ago.   We were basically over run with deer before.  Now, I rarely see them - cute shots!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

LOL!  You probably don't have the opportunity to turn your car sideways in the middle of the street.  :)

Right you are!

They don't look any the worse for wear, do they?

Think she can read?  :)

Too funny!

They are so cute, Mike. Isn't it amazing what we do to get great pictures for our AR friends?

How adorable! I bet they eat just about everything in sight...the price one has to pay for taking their land away....

Mike, in the 13 years I've lived here, I've never seen any of the deer.  Thanks for the photos.  It looks like they're a little more respectful of our landscaping than the javalinas are!!!!

I just never tire of seeing the animal pics and these mule deer are endearing.

Love 'em!

We will have them in the yards here soon eating the flowers. Pretty to see, but destructive to gardens.

We are overrun with deer right now.  These are funny shots.

It's all about balance.  No predators.

Yes they are.  More hunters...

Please disregard my previous comment.  :)

We love 'em too.

I can't believe it!

I was here before they were.

Thank goodness no one was driving up the street.  :)
