Treasure In Nature: A Natural Valentine

A Natural Valentine: Mike in Tucson, AZ Mortgage Lender

~ A Natural Valentine ~

Closeup of a Natural Valentine: Mike in Tucson, AZ mortgage lender

The crystal formation in the granite is what caught my attention, and I was climbing down the rock face to capture a photo of it.  Sunlight glinting off the crystal was visible from my position in the rocks far above.

I made my way carefully down, focused on the line of crystal.

Then I looked down.  There in the granite by my feet I saw the perfect heart shape.  The first photo will give you an idea of the size of the natural formation.  It's a Natural Valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Oh my goodness!  I can just picture a cave man chipping that formation out with a sharp rock for his cave sweetie.

Good morning!  Thanks for commenting.

Kim,

I am.  That's why you see the hiking stick.  It's a third "leg" for balance.

How cool is that and leave it to you, the great Romantic, to find it! No wonder your wife is always smiling in her photos!

Mike, What a find on your ventures out on the rocks.  Makes you wonder how that actually formed into the heart available for your viewing for this Valentine's Day.

Thanks!

Doug & Gloria,

Love your Birds Group!

I believe the formation is natural.  Look carefully at the top photo (above my walking stick) and you'll see two overlapping "hearts."

Barbara-Jo,

Awww....

Gab,

I'd like to see what she would make of it.

Pat,

You're welcome!  Thanks for stopping by.
