~ Another World In The Tucson Mountains ~
There's no other description that fits so well... The Tucson Mountains after dark are another world. The sense of quiet peacefulness is created by the ridge of ancient volcanic rock separating me from the City of Tucson.
Here there is the yip of a coyote enjoying that same moon that tugged me away from the comfort of my home in Tucson Estates II. The yips crescendo into a chorus of answering coyotes, howling at that big yellow moon.
Tonight, the TV is off. I didn't bring my I-Pod. Give me, tonight, what drew Muir to the wilderness, and Thoreau to Ralph Waldo Emerson's woodland cabin near Walden Pond. Give me the sounds and quiet beauty of God's nature, and I'm content.
Today, I took four new loan applications for four separate buyers around the Arizona. I called four REALTORS, one in Tucson, one in Scottsdale, one in Glendale and one in Phoenix. All of them got good news about their buyers and a strong LSR to add to their offer. Active Rain brought me three of the four. I have yet to meet the fourth, as my relationship is with the buyer, but I'll tell her about the Active Rain Real Estate Network!
It was a successful day. Life is good, and I'm grateful.

wow what a picture. I want to travel out there now.
Mike, great photo! Really beautiful!
Mike in Tucson: Wow. What an amazing photo. It clearly shows the beauty of the area, and also show that, even with all of the horrifying violence recently in Tucson... at least at the end of the day... there is beauty.
If somehow it brings even a smidge of comfort to all of those in need... it indeed is miraculous. Mother Nature surely does know how to show off Her beauty when we need it. <grateful smile>
Mike, what a beautiful photo and a great reference to Muir, Thoreou and Emerson. There's nothing better than just taking that moment off - just breathing. Your photos help me do that.
Juli,
That's good to hear! Thanks for the encouragement.
Karen Anne,
Thanks for stopping by. We're still in shock about the shootings, but so very encouraged to hear this morning that Gabby Giffords condition has been upgraded to "Good" by her doctors there in Houston.
Tony & Darcy,
Thanks! Don't we live in a beautiful world?
Stan,
I'm lucky to live here. Come on out for a visit, and call first!

WOW! I am impressed. As usual, your photographs of Arizona scenery is spectacular. What type of camera do you use?
Leolinda,
It's a Panasonic Lumix that I bought on sale at Costco for $130. It's my fourth generation of Lumix. I love them; it's the software in the camera that makes the difference, IMHO.

Mike, I looked up the Panasonic Lumix, and they look great. Lots of models, though. Which specific model is your camera ?
WOW - You use a $130 camera? I thought that you had a jillion dollar camera. What an eye!
Wow Mike ... What an amazing photograph and thanks for the view!
Wow! Very good picture Mike...
You have cracked the ActiveRain nut - that of bringing business in from a blog. I believe that blogging may actually be more beneficial for loan officers than the average real estate agent, with the exception of posts about local communities and homes.
Gorgeous shot, Mike, you certainly do know how to catch them; and, thank you for letting us in on them.
Mike I saw the same pictures. Also, you are a great example blogging for business. You take a proactive approach by calling other real estate agents to get new business. As I say on the radio show--Make the Call.
Wow just beautiful Mike. You really have a snack for taking some awesome shots!
Sounds like a productive day ended by a perfect and peaceful night. Thanks for sharing the great photo.

Wow Mike, I have a Panasonic Lumix and I guess I need to learn how to use it!
Beam me up Scotty!!! What a magnificent photo! It really does look as if you are on another planet!
Mike,
Well" beam me up Scotty" and put me there in that picture! What a photo! What a story! If I was there right now, I'd be the happiest person around!
You are so lucky!
Patricia,
I'll be right over to your blog to commiserate about the weather! :)
Barbara-Jo,
Isn't it just beautiful?!

HI MIKE! Well - your moon sure is enticing me to move to your side of town! It's stunning! Congrats on all your recent LSRs - you definitely work hard and deserve them all! --G
Mike - another fantatic shot. I guess the full moon is bright enough that you almost don't need headlights.
Hi Mike - Wonderful photo to go with the sentiments you have shared with us. Way to end a productive day!
That purple color is just awesome! It's my favorite color BTW. When I was in the desert in Egypt the sky was actually navy blue there & it reminded me of that.
Gorgeous picture! It looks so peaceful! Thank you for posting such an amazing shot!
Hello Mike and I have to come back for a double take of your wonderful post & photo, and I have featured it at one of my favorite groups ...

Vegas Bob,
Thanks for coming back, and Thanks for the Feature!
Olga,
You're welcome! Thanks for stopping by.
Lyn,
I'd like to see a photo of that sky in Egypt!
Karen,
That it was! I hope your day was successful.
Larry,
We have very little light pollution on the west side of the Tucson Mountains, so when the moon is full, it's a beauty!
Gab,
The moon doesn't show up like this on your side of town? LOL
