Amazing Sunset from Tucson's Reddington Pass

Unbelievable Sunset from Tucson's Reddington Pass: Mike in Tucson, AZ mortgage lender

~ Reddington Pass Sunset ~

Tucson, AZ

I took this photo almost ten minutes after sunset, long after the bright colors had faded.  I was high in the Rincon Mountains east of Tucson, on Coronado National Forest land.  Below me, the city of Tucson was a patchwork of pinpoint lights thirty miles wide.

I didn't have a tripod set up, so the photo below is a little blurry.  You can get the sense of place from it, though, and see the "watercolor" sky as day fades into dusk.

Those are beautiful pictures, Mike. I have one question: do you ever just stay home :) but if you did we wouldn't have those pictures?

Mike,

Simply WOW!  Based on your first pic, an astonishing  "red" sunset worthy of occuring at Reddington Pass ...  :)

You are always sharing the natural rugged but delicate beauty of your surroundings. I've lived in the desert county and that's the best way that I know how to describe it.  Such beautiful shots.  :)
