Mute testament to someone's dreams and aspirations from early in the last century, the remains of this two-room adobe home stand near an abandoned corral in Tucson's Santa Cruz valley. 

Despite our desire to make it so, nothing in this life is much more permanent than that rainbow painted across our desert sky.
