Making cards, and making memories. Every Real Estate Agent who is a student of Buffini or Rohn knows the power of sending a card.
I'm going to be forgotten one of these years, but the memories that I make in the minds of my children and grandchildren will carry on. I'm not leaving that to chance.
The Importance of REAL Photos
Photos help the "memory-of-Grandpa-Oso," or "memory-of-my-friend-Michael," or "my-loan-officer-who-never-forgets-my-birthday" process.
The Importance of REAL Greeting Cards
Every photo tells a story, but stories get lost over time, even if photos remain. The combination of a story (by way of a greeting card) and the photo that illustrates the story is unbelievably powerful.
The card must be something real ~ something that a child can hold in her hand.
- A real greeting card.
- The writer's handwriting and signature.
- Photos that connect.
Memories created with email, ecards and computer photo files are like the memories that we hold in our minds.
They last just a moment, make us smile, and then... they're gone.
Send Out Cards has just introduced Picture Plus II, and you see some of the results here in the screenshots of cards I've made in the last day or two.
The card fronts shown above and to the right use a template (one of many) that allows me to drag and drop photos of any aspect ratio, and then move the photo within the mask to show just what I want.
Larry the barber was my barber for fifteen years in Manahawkin, NJ. Doesn't he look like Kenny Rogers, the Country Western singer?!
The inside of the card (below) is created by dragging a photo onto the card, then clicking the SPAN command in Picture Plus II. The photo spans the entire card, and I dragged and dropped elements onto the card to create the text box and signature. Yep, that's my signature.
My Mission with my Send Out Cards Business
The country seems to be going to hell in a handbasket right now. Jobs are scarce and becoming more so. Families are being uprooted as homes are being foreclosed. Friends are moving away, sometimes across town, but more often out of state. Relationships that had blossomed are in danger of withering away through unintended neglect.
My mission with Send Out Cards is to give you the means of celebrating and reinforcing your relationships. You may have noticed that my photographs are no longer being copyrighted. They are yours to use as you wish.
Many of my photographs have become greeting cards in my Send Out Cards business. I share them unreservedly with Card Senders in my downline. The process is simple. I click SHARE, enter your ID #, and they show up in your Picture Plus II card catalog.
I'm having a lot of fun with this. You can do what I'm doing, or you can just make a single card like the ones above for $2.99, postage included.
That's right. One card. $2.99, postage included. No other purchase required.

Mike,
As the recipient of some of those cards, I can testify they touch harts!
I disagree about being forgotten. We may become "Old what's his name" but we're rarely forgotten.
Old what's his Name
It took me a couple minutes to see it. There's a "Create Picture Plus Card" link at the top of the left column......
Cheryl,
Let me know what you think!
Bill,
I like sending cards!
Mike in Tucson
Agree with Bill, I love being on the receiving end of your lovely greeting cards! Then I get to keep the beautiful picture, too!
Cards can make a difference. I have gotten referrals from the cards I send to clients. It is worth the effort. Keep up the good work.
Mike,
I sent you an email :-)
Mike,
That is a very interesting idea....I can see some great applications....thank you so much for sharing.... :)
Hi Mike....Will check out that site! I have had an American Greetings account for years and use it alot. This would be great for those times I don't have use of a printer....(and you will definately NOT be forgotten by those you have touched)
Cards do indeed make a difference - I send them out all the time!
Mike, I love the cards that you've sent to us. In fact, the one that you sent to my husband, Don, on his birthday was such a surprise to him. I get inspired to do cards, then I forget to mail them..:(
I'm going to check out your link.
Thanks so much! One of these trips of yours to OK, our schedules will be right.
Judi,
Unexpected cards with heartfelt words of encouragement lift the spirit and renew the soul. Best to you and Don!
Barbara Jo,
I haven't gotten mine yet. :)
Joanie,
You are so kind. Thanks for sending a card from my site. Come back often!
Lori,
You're welcome!
Cheryl,
Thanks for trying out my Card Store!
Don,
You're so right. People love to get personal mail. The post office stats show that less than 2% of the mail is actually personal.
Doreen,
I appreciate my readers! That's the long and short of it.

Hope you have a safe and Happy 4th of July! Did you go to Jerome yet? There are lots of cool things to take photos of...
Russell,
Thanks for the fireworks!
Doreen,
We were in Jerome at Christmastime; in Carlsbad by the Sea just now. Happy 4th!

I have heard send-out cards are pretty reasonable, probably need to check them out a little better!
