The point of owning a home is enjoying it. That's especially true for me here in Tucson.
Early esterday morning, I was sitting on the ramada drinking coffee, eating breakfast and being quiet so I wouldn't wake my Darlin'. (Our bedroom opens on to the ramada.)
Birds where singing, the day was ahead of me, and all was right with my world.
Backyard concert
A male Cardinal was providing a concert, just singing his heart out. I couldn't see a female Cardinal anywhere. Then I zoomed in and found the object of his affection.
Love is where you find it, I guess.
Battery Charger update: I still don't have the battery charger for my new Panasonic Lumix, so I'm making do with an older camera. It's not as fast, so the photo isn't as crisp, but the Cardinal and the Dove didn't seem to mind. :)

Cool! Who wudda thunk?
"Birds of a feather"...any feather, any color,..."flock together!" Great photograph. Thanks for sharing it!
Paula,
You're welcome. Thanks for stopping by.
Michael,
I certainly was surprised!
Sally,
Thanks for being the first to comment, and especially so early on a Saturday!

Mike,
I hope you ordered two chargers! With the one you'll find the day after the new ones arrive you'll have one for home, one for the office, one for the car and no excuses!
Your loyal followers should not be denied their morning pick me up.
Bill
Mike - Great photo for me to wake to! What a great pair to watch while you have your morning coffee......
Good morning, Mike!
Ditto what Bill said. It's much easier to have multiple chargers in multiple locations, than to try to tote one around. With multiples, you just leave them plugged in where they are (I know, not "Green") but it's a lot harder to lose them when they stay in one place. :-)
That said, it looks like your older camera is doing just fine. Great shot of the cardinal!
Mike - Thanks for the shot. I have a coule of cardinals who hang out in my yard, and they really do make some noise.
Howdy and afternoon to you Mike
Mike, I sure enjoyed looking at both of your photos here. It sure is fun to enjoy once yard, thats for sure!!!
Another great photo. I had been away for a time, and missed your great eye.
It looks like the dove might already be taken - sitting on its nest.
Hi Mike, Will an old battery is certainly better than no so welcome back. The camera doesn't know anyway. :-) Great photos.
Hmm, wonder if those are his eggs and something happened to his mate and the dove is sitting in? Do birds do that?
Mike this is awesome do you know how hard I have tried to photograph one of those birds? to date it has not happened.
Thanks for sharing photos of your beautiful area.
Love the cardinals --- they are so bright and cheerful -- we do not get them all year long up here -- but when we do love them.
