Texas Pig, Herding Cows!

Mike in Tucson: Sleepy HunterI've been blessed to have good friends in Oklahoma who are ranchers, and over the past 15 years, we've heard some tall tales about wildlife.

I've never heard or seen anything like Marchel Peterson's story about a wild feral hog herding cattle, though.

Thanks, Marchel!  I hope the Colonel reads this one!

One of the things that I love about living in Texas is the diversity that Texas has to offer.  We have something for almost everyone. We have the city and the country. We have flat lands, hill country, semi-tropical areas, the gulf. You name it and Texas has it. Well I guess the exception would be snow covered mountains but we do have the hill country.  I expect we are also one of the only states that has a pig that herds cows.  Meet Squeaky the herding pig.

Don,

I'm using Mozilla Firefox as my ISP.  If you're using Internet Explorer, you might want to switch over.

That is really surprising - I don't think I ever saw a spotted hog before - thanks for sharing Squeekie!

Holy cow!!!  Or should I say pig!!  That's funny.  All that running keeps her pretty trim, she's isn't as round as a regular piggy!

THis is a very interesting story. I knew that pigs were smart, I just didn't know they had herding instincts.
