Don't Give Up on USDA Rural Financing! Update from Mike in Tucson

Mike in Tucson: USDA Rural Financing availableUSDA Update:  Although USDA Rural field offices in Arizona (and the rest of the country) are running very low on Guaranteed funds at the moment, this 100% program is not in danger of disappearing.

SUNSTREET Mortgage LLC will continue to approve and close USDA loans subject to receipt of funding from Congress.

We expect that Congress will authorize a 3.5% Guarantee Fee for new purchase loans, and a 2.25% Guarantee Fee for new refinance loans.

My lender told me yesterday funds could be available as early as next week. But there are no guarantees.

Have you heard where the bill is now?

Julia,

The bill is in the Senate.

Bill,

It's a GREAT program for borrowers!

Dorie,

I guarantee that the sun will rise in the morning.  I guarantee that after recession comes expansion.  I guarantee that there will always be opportunity in any downturn.  And I do believe that we'll continue to fund USDA loans once the Senate gets off its collective duff.

John,

See my answer to Dorie.
