Champagne Marketing On a Beer Budget: Marketing That Surpasses The Masses

1. State what business you're in in 15 seconds or less.

2. Create an image of quality.

3. Benefits (not features) win new clients.

4. Build visibility; become an expert in your industry.

5. Use the media as a win~win opportunity.

6. Advertise in, and write articles for [the same] newsletter, whether print or online.

7. Ask for referrals, and give [RESPA compliant] rewards for results.

8. Make it EASY to be your customer!

9. Get results from networking. Follow up 100% of the time.

10. Use Social Media to your advantage.

Hi Mike, Very good! It is almost back to the basics with a twist. Find out what they want and help them get it. ( Benefits and not features). Help enough and we get what  we want and every one wins.

I moved to Sunstreet Mortgage, LLC in July of 2009.

Leolinda,

Among other things, she said "don't rely on the corporate image; create your unique image starting with your business card and your photo." Make sure it conveys a sense of who you are now, and that what you convey with your projections~cards, handouts, etc. say "Quality."

Janet,

It was St. Patricks Day!  In Chicago the river ran green.  At our seminar, green eggs and ham were served. And our speaker was dressed in green from head to toe.

Thanks for being the first to comment!  Back to basics it is.  The thing I took away, listening to the realtors in the room (most of the attendees were agents) is how I can apply these principles to helping my realtors as my customers.

I like the fact that she did not try to overstate the case. Many times people who train make it more complicated to show off their knowledge rather than boiling it down to its essence.
