Thank you, Tucson Kent!
My phone rang at 7:10 or thereabouts, and it was my friend Kent Simpson on the other end.
"Are you going to be ReBarCamping today?"
I hadn't planned on it. I think I'd relegated the event to real estate agents, since most of what's written on Active Rain (that I've read) has been written by REALTORs.
I figured I'd better check it out, and boy, am I glad I did! Mike Mueller's session on FaceBook was an eye-opener. I'm not all that savvy when it comes to FaceBook, but the session (and another later in the morning) gave me a roadmap to make better use of this powerful social medium.
I recognized many Active Rain REALTOR friends on the chat page during the session, but the only lender I ran into was our own Sunstreet Mortgage manager, Bryant Keefe. Bryant had signed up for Brad Andersohn's session on blogging.
It didn't take long to figure out the virtual format, with one window open to the current presentation, and another open to the corresponding chat room. The system wasn't flawless, but it was pretty darn good!
In between sessions, I fielded two new loan referrals and an accepted purchase contract. The day just seemed to fly!
I'm doing this again next time!
I'm Mike in Tucson, your preferred Tucson, AZ Mortgage lender.
