Major Issues Logging In to Active Rain on Thanksgiving?

At first I thought that Active Rain was doing a major upgrade, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  Maybe 166,000 of us were all trying to wish each other Happy Thanksgiving at the same time, and we brought the servers down.  Whatever the case, I was thinking about you, and giving Thanks for Active Rain nonetheless.

Today (Black Friday) will find me out on the Ironwood National Monument, photographing petroglyphs, and (perhaps?) some 800 year old pottery shards.

I'm thankful for YOU!

Hope you had a great holilday as well. Yeo, AR was up to its old tricks...for hours. It's rare to not get in at all, though. Perhaps it really WAS maintenance.

Mike, me too!  I thought it was just that the hampsters running the AR treadmills to provide power to the operation were off eating turkey.  Then they needed a nap.  Sorta like a lot of us!

I'm jealous that you had the time to even try to get on to ActiveRain yesterday.  There were ten of us at my house and I didn't have a moment to myself all day.  Sorry to hear you had difficulty, that is really frustrating.

Actually, later in the day the problems stopped.  I think it was just a case of AR not getting enough attention yesterday.

Maybe they wanted to see if we would notice. Well, we did.

Thanks for the info.  I first thought it was an isolated problem with my internet connection but I am glad whatever the problem was, that the Gods at AR fixed it by the end of the day.

Mike, I noticed that as well. I figured out the same reasoning. Happy belated Thanksgiving, and enjoy those petroglyphs. I took some photos last summer in northeast Arizona. Amazing to see. ;-)

I too have been having trouble logging in. Normally, I hit MS's petrographic for refresh and AR comes up on the second try, although some times it does it on again on the log in page.

Good photo.

Hi Mike I hope your your Thanksgiving was terrific. The night before (Wednesday) my site went down and I was trying to post my Thanksgiving message. On Thanksgiving morning it was still down and I trying and trying to upload the post and was able to do it in parts and pieces and kept editing as often as I could get on. What good would a Thanksgiving message be the day after. It was down big time.
