What a beautiful invitation to the visitor center.  Don't often get to see a full rainbow like this.  Thanks for sharing.

Theodora,

I was hiking in the arroyo below Saguaro National Park's Visitor Center, and was making my way toward the parking lot because I didn't want to get wet!  As I came up out of the canyon, here was this beautiful rainbow.  Lucky timing!

Jane,

I'll have to agree.  LOL

I wonder if there is a pot of gold at both ends of the rainbow.

Posted by FN LN about 11 years ago

very nice rainbow it really takes your breath away.  I like the way you framed it between the two monuments.

Gorgeous, I love the sharp contrasts, the sun, shadows, blue & gray skys, white clouds and of course the rainbow, great shot.

Posted by Dan Tabit (Keller Williams Bellevue) about 11 years ago

Thanks for one of natures wonders.  Once I saw a double without my camera which is why I now carry one all the time.

Posted by Bill Ladewig, Experience Is Your Advantage (LoanOfficerSchool.com) about 11 years ago

Bill,

I would like to have seen that.

Dan,

Thanks for stopping by; I'll see you on your blog.

Tim,

I had to run to get that angle for the shot; a couple of minutes later the rainbow had disappeared!

Marc,

If there were, the National Park Service would have claimed it.  LOL

Bruce,

Thanks for commenting!

Mike - That's one of the more stunning rainbows I've seen in awhile.  I think having it married to that sky, with the southwest terrain makes it special.

Pales all human-done "Special Effects", no matter how fabulous--but then again, I guess this picture is a Joint Collaboration between the Creator/Divine Providence/God and yourself.

Mike - I have to say my friend that this photograph is beautiful and worth a feature at one of my favorite groups at Activerain ....................

CLOUDS AT ACTIVERAIN (clouds attached)

Rainbows are very hard to capture with a camera!

Liz,

Right you are!  It's a first for me.

Gerry,

I'll bet you have opportunities like this in Big Sky country!

Anthony,

Then I've done the right thing.  Thanks for saying so.

Doreen,

It helps to have a camera with me at all times!  Opportunity knocks, and out comes the camera.
