Tucson AZ Home Loan Info

I Love Randy Glasbergen

I saved a mortgage-related cartoon by Randy Glasbergen in 2005; things were so much different four years ago.  Who would have imagined the changes that would come about in such a short period of time?

The cartoon depicted a couple sitting in front of a loan officer, who's telling them "As an alternative to the traditional 30 year mortgage, we also offer an interest-only mortgage, balloon mortgage, reverse mortgage, upside down mortgage (emphasis mine), inside out mortgage, loop-de-loop mortgage, and the spinning double axel mortgage with a triple lutz."

For your morning chuckle, or just a good cry, check out this one.

Ahhh yes, I remember those days very well.  My favorite was the negative 3G loan.  The pressure of that loan was strong.

Sad...seems like trickery and loan packages are sooo thick...It just shouldn't be so complicated.

Mike,

I think you're going to confuse people! The "the spinning double axel mortgage with a triple lutz." is more commonly known as "The Option ARM"a combination of several useful tools into a "Ronco" like device for people who don't know how to use any of them, but were sold on the idea that they schould have them all.

There are few that can do even a "spinning double axel" to add "a triple lutz" requires one to be double jointed! I guess that's why so many masochist that tried it are out of joint!

What worries me most is that we've lost not only the all-in-one  plastic pocket rocket, but also the real professional grade tools that were so useful!

Je suis heureux aussi ! Merci. Randy Glasbergen is great. What would makers of The Secret say. Seriously, I prefer adding one or both of our community banks to my list of lenders for clients from out of town or out of state. My reasons will show up in a BLOG. Once again, one of your posts is spurring me to action. Thanks Mike.

Is that all we have to do is say everything is fine? I'm going to start telling my sellers that and see what they think.

Mike - That is so funny!  The last one, "spinning double axel mortgage with a triple lutz" had me in tears laughing. . .Way TOO true:-)

Just like when Bubba told Forrest Gump,

"There's

  • pineapple shrimp,
  • lemon shrimp,
  • coconut shrimp,
  • pepper shrimp,
  • shrimp soup,
  • shrimp stew,
  • shrimp salad,
  • shrimp and potatoes,
  • shrimp burger,
  • shrimp sandwich

Hi Mike.

OMG, I love Randy's stuff.

I contacted him a few years back about using a few things, yet never follow through after that. Yet his humor is "laughing-out-loud funny"  for me. Thanks for the reminder.
