I know it's how I make a living, and I enjoy what I do. Sunday, though, was Easter. My neighbor's purple prickly pear picked the perfect day to bloom. Purple and yellow. The colors of Easter. Isn't this the perfect desert flower for Easter?!

Gorgeous photo, Mike... and definitely the perfect combination for Easter.
Mike, Great photo. Although we do have prickly pear cactus here, I rarely see them blooming...

Michael,
We have several colors of prickly pear, and each has a different color blossom.

Mike-What an incredible looking flower, here in Mass. we are still waiting for some spring colors.
Perfect, Mike! What a splash of color - purple, yellow, a little green - just beautiful.
Mike,
Thanks for commenting.
Joseph,
Spring's on its way. Meanwhile, you might want to make like my neighbors here in Tucson Estates II--they're from Mass, and they're enjoying the 75 degree weather.
Bill,
THANKS! I enjoy the "amen corner."

Hi Mike: Not only is it a great flower - but you took a great picture of it!
:)
That is actually a great idea! It WOULD make a great desktop. The combination of purple and yellow is quite striking.
Tony & Libby,
Consider it my gift to you! Have a great day, and thanks for commenting.

WOW! That is gorgeous!!! I had a prickly pear in Florida, but it didn't bloom too often. You got a terrific shot with this one!

Mike - This shot is awesome, I so love your photos. This is certainly more interesting than interest rates :)
Jennifer,
The crocus must be poking their little heads up through the snow by now in my old stomping grounds of Clavarack. Thanks for commenting, and especially for saying such nice things.
